What if Love Happens @ Work?

Have you ever undergone a phase when you have fallen in love with your co- worker? If yes, then keep in mind that it is not very strange to fall in love with a co- worker. However, according to Henri Fayol’s principles of management, as a staff of a company, you are projected to give more importance to the Organization’s goals than your personal interests. If you are in a relationship with your co- worker, create a fine stability between work and love, because your personal and professional relationship with that person and other colleagues in the organization may be impacted. Listed below are the things you should definitely know before you start proceeding into a relationship with your co- worker.

1. Never let heart rule your head at workplace: Even if you have fallen in love with a person in your workplace, it is advisable for you to make it sure that you are not just physically attracted to that person. Judging your professional relationship with that person, you should keep in mind that the organization is not the right place where you should let your heart rule your head. You should definitely understand that a bad relationship between coworkers can form bad tension at the workplace. Therefore, before proposing your co- worker you should find out the answers to the questions like,
Will she accept your proposal? Is she single? Do not get misguided by her professional friendliness towards you. Be honest with yourself; you cannot be hundred percent sure about everything. It is better for you, not to risk a good job for attractive looks or simple feelings.

2. Confirm That you are not breaking your company policy:  Some companies do not like the idea of co- workers being involved in a relationship. According to The Jobberman Blog.com, relationship experts state that it is best to presume that your employers and co- workers may not like the idea. Although many  companies do not make it part of their policy, one could easily make out when such relationships  are not permitted in the organization. Even if you possess good intentions for your co- worker, you should understand that you two are not just involved in this situation therefore before you proceed with your feelings be sure you are not making your employers angry.

3. Good friends cannot always be great lovers: One may enjoy a more intimate relationship with their best friend, but generally such relationships don’t last for a long time. Both associates soon comprehend that they preferred each other better as friends or that they actually did not know themselves as they thought. Likewise, keep in mind that even if you have been a very close friend to your coworker, it does not mean that you will have a great relationship with that person. It is very important for you to expand your knowledge about that person by asking your co – workers what’s their opinion about that person do study that person thoroughly on a different perspective before prosing him or her.  However, it is advisable to be a better friend before expressing your feelings to a co- worker, as many people like people in a more natural way.

It’s a sacred social contract, a cultural cornerstone. Generations grew up believing in it not as blind submission, but as a partnership rooted in trust, sacrifice, and patience. But lately, a powerful wave is shifting that belief especially among young, urban minds consuming content that sells freedom over commitment, individualism over interdependence. One such example is a recent article titled “ Marriage is dying in India, and women are glad it is. ” While it's important to hear different voices, we must pause and ask: Whose truth are we hearing? And what is the cost of believing only one side? Then and Now: What Changed? Traditionally, Indian households operated on clearly defined roles. Men earn...

ESSAY FROM A CHILD

A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write a essay about what they would like God to do for them...At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional. Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying and asked her: - What happened? She answered - Read this essay. It's written by one of my students. "Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television. I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house. Have my own special place. And have my family around ME. To be taken seriously when I talk... I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions. I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working. Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired. And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me... And... I want my brothers to fight to be with me... I want to feel that...

Today's Society and Changing Roles of Women

In recent years, the roles of women in families and society have transformed significantly. Education and empowerment have brought immense progress, but this shift has also led to some challenges worth reflecting upon. Rising Divorces:  A Concern Despite many marriages being based on love and mutual understanding, divorces are on the rise. Why? Today's women are often encouraged to focus on careers, sometimes at the expense of learning life skills like managing households or cooking. While financial independence is crucial, the balance between career and family often gets overlooked, leading to conflicts in relationships. Shifting Priorities Earlier, women prioritized nurturing families across generations—caring for in-laws, spouses, and children. However, modern roles often focus on individual growth and career advancement. This isn't inherently wrong, but the diminishing focus on traditional responsibilities sometimes disrupts family harmony. Impact of Career Over...
