Image
Have you ever undergone a phase when you have fallen in love with your co- worker? If yes, then keep in mind that it is not very strange to fall in love with a co- worker. However, according to Henri Fayol’s principles of management, as a staff of a company, you are projected to give more importance to the Organization’s goals than your personal interests. If you are in a relationship with your co- worker, create a fine stability between work and love, because your personal and professional relationship with that person and other colleagues in the organization may be impacted. Listed below are the things you should definitely know before you start proceeding into a relationship with your co- worker. 1. Never let heart rule your head at workplace: Even if you have fallen in love with a person in your workplace, it is advisable for you to make it sure that you are not just physically attracted to that person. Destiny is Pre-Destined

Image
Death came to a guy and said, "My friend, today is your day!"  The guy said, "But I'm not ready!" Then death said, "Well, your name is the next on my list...."  Guy: "Okay, then why don't you take a seat and I will get you something to eat before we go?"  Death: "All right.... " The guy gave death some food with sleeping pills in it. Death finished eating and fell into a deep sleep..... The guy took the list & removed his name from top of the list and put it in the bottom of the list.  When death woke up, he said to the guy, "Because you have been so very nice to me, I will start from the BOTTOM of the list...."  Moral : Accept whatever is written in your destiny. Destiny will never change, no matter how much you try… Courtesy : Mail Fwd by Nishika Rebello

Create Great Relationships

Image
1. Be Real Call it being authentic. Call it being yourself. The fact is that few things are as powerful as standing in the presence of a person who is really really comfortable in their own skin. What I’m suggesting is that you speak with your unique voice and that you live under your true values and that you present the real you to the world around you. Please trust me on this one. I promise you that when you get to the last hour of your last day, you will regret having lived the life society sold you versus the life that you knew deep within was meant for you. 2. Smile Sure this sounds obvious. But what makes greatness is the daily executing around simple ideas. And if smiling during good and hard times was so easy, then why is it so hard for most people? I travel across the planet constantly. But no matter whether I’m in Qatar or Napa, Buenos Aires or Malaysia, Mumbai or Amsterdam, a quick and genuine smile to a stranger always connects. Unites. Uplifts. 3. Use People’s Names The fa...

The Missing Watch

Image
There once was a farmer who discovered that he had lost his watch in the  barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him.  After searching high and low among the hay for a long while; he gave up and  enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded.  Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around  the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch. Just when the  farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to  him and asked to be given another chance. The farmer looked at him and thought, "Why not? After all, this kid looks  sincere enough."  So the farmer sent the little boy back in the barn. After a while the little  boy came out with the watch in his hand! The farmer was both happy and  surprised and so he asked the boy how he succeeded where the rest had ...

Gujarati Roommates

Image
This incident is about a Gujarati person named Kanjibhai. Long long time ago, before he got married, he was travelling from Ahmadabad to Bombay by train. Rupaben was also travelling in the same compartment except that they both didn't know each other in the beginning. Once they started talking, they realized they both had a lot in common. Both were Single. Both were Gujaratis. Both were going to Bombay. Both were Schoolteachers. Both were starting a new job at the Mithibai College. They seemed to hit it off well and decided to be roommates in Bombay and made a pact that they would do everything together. So they lived in the same house, travelled to the college together on Kanjibhai's scooter, had lunch in the staff room together, returned home together. They were watching the TV together, eating dinner together and were also sharing the same bedroom and ...EVEN sharing the same bed. The only problem was Rupaben was placing a pillow between them at bedtime, much to the frustr...

Slow Dance - Poem

Image
Have you ever watched kids, On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain, Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Do you run through each day, On the fly? When you ask How are you? Do you hear the reply? When the day is done, Do you lie in your bed With the next hundred chores, Running through your head?  You'd better slow down, Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Ever told your child, We'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die Cause you never had time To call and say,"Hi" You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere You miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift....Thro...
