.... Before Starting a Business

An entrepreneur seldom has defined duties in the enterprise. At an early stage, from cleaning out after all the employees leave, to attend executive meetings with prospective clients, an entrepreneur wears several hats to get the company on to the track of success.

Though some of the early stage work in the enterprise may seem very trivial and unimportant, an entrepreneur must have a good amount of experience in every kind of job he is about to face in his startup. Business Insider compiles a list of jobs that every entrepreneur should do before starting his business.

Here are the essential pre startup jobs that all aspiring entrepreneurs must take up.
1. Fast Food Service
Quick and efficient service is one of the prime parameters which measure the success of an enterprise. Fast food services like pizza stations and burger joints always concentrate on delivering the quickest possible service in a very conventional yet innovative way. Entrepreneurs may have a lot to learn from these joints about the delegation of work, effective use of technology and importance of working against a deadline. Superficially, the job might look very easy and trivial, but it subconsciously trains the entrepreneur to be punctual and always on the toes.

2. Sales
A greater fraction of the new age entrepreneurs come from a technical background and barely carry any knowledge of the marketing and sales departments. Well to face the hard truth of life, developing and designing the product is not enough, the entrepreneur must know to market the product and sell it as well. Hence, a sales job before starting the company is a must. Sell a small thing or sell anything for that matter, what the job does is that it takes the individual way away from the initial shyness of communication and hesitation.

3. Manual Labor
It is very wisely said that tough places breed tough people. Entrepreneurship brings a great deal of physical and mental imbalance and the entrepreneur must be ready to deal with all that comes on his way to success. Work at a construction site, work in a farm or anything that challenges you physically. The work that makes you tough prepares you for all the adversities and hurdles of your career and hones you to be able to handle any kind of pressure.

4. Customer service
The best entrepreneur is the one who understands the customer well.  The customer service job makes an aspiring entrepreneur intimate with all the stereotypical issues faced by customer and moreover understand the way they think and use a particular product. Jobs like store clerks, cashiers and customer service representatives are the best places to start getting the training to understand customers.

5. Baby Sitting
The mention of this job might raise some skeptical eyebrows but, yes it is one of the best fields to start understanding employees, customers, clients and the details of human behavior for that matter. It is easy to handle people when they are happy but it can be a tough job to handle them when they are irate. And most of the human being act childishly when they are upset or irritated. Hence, to start managing the tantrums of the kids can be a great start towards achieving excellent HR management skills.

Are We Losing Balance In the Name of Equality?

Why the Youth Must Rethink the Noise Around Marriage, Masculinity, and Modern Liberation When the pendulum swings too far in one direction, even balance begins to look like injustice.  — Rollo May, Existential Psychologist Marriage in India has always been more than a personal choice. It’s a sacred social contract, a cultural cornerstone. Generations grew up believing in it not as blind submission, but as a partnership rooted in trust, sacrifice, and patience. But lately, a powerful wave is shifting that belief especially among young, urban minds consuming content that sells freedom over commitment, individualism over interdependence. One such example is a recent article titled “ Marriage is dying in India, and women are glad it is. ” While it's important to hear different voices, we must pause and ask: Whose truth are we hearing? And what is the cost of believing only one side? Then and Now: What Changed? Traditionally, Indian households operated on clearly defined roles. Men earn...

ESSAY FROM A CHILD

A teacher from Primary School asks her students to write a essay about what they would like God to do for them...At the end of the day while marking the essays, she read one that made her very emotional. Her husband, that had just walked in saw her crying and asked her: - What happened? She answered - Read this essay. It's written by one of my students. "Oh God, tonight I ask you something very special: Make me into a television. I want to take its place. Live like the TV in my house. Have my own special place. And have my family around ME. To be taken seriously when I talk... I want to be the centre of attention and be heard without interruptions or questions. I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives when it is not working. Have the company of my dad when he arrives home from work, even when he is tired. And I want my mom to want me when she is sad and upset, instead of ignoring me... And... I want my brothers to fight to be with me... I want to feel that...

Today's Society and Changing Roles of Women

In recent years, the roles of women in families and society have transformed significantly. Education and empowerment have brought immense progress, but this shift has also led to some challenges worth reflecting upon. Rising Divorces:  A Concern Despite many marriages being based on love and mutual understanding, divorces are on the rise. Why? Today's women are often encouraged to focus on careers, sometimes at the expense of learning life skills like managing households or cooking. While financial independence is crucial, the balance between career and family often gets overlooked, leading to conflicts in relationships. Shifting Priorities Earlier, women prioritized nurturing families across generations—caring for in-laws, spouses, and children. However, modern roles often focus on individual growth and career advancement. This isn't inherently wrong, but the diminishing focus on traditional responsibilities sometimes disrupts family harmony. Impact of Career Over...
