7 Signs of a Humble Man


Humility is an endearing quality. It wins the heart of people. A humble man shines without making an effort to do so. His simplicity and humility make him immensely likable. Let us try and analyse the issues of humility a bit more deeply. Let us try and understand what are the features and qualities of a humble man.

The 7 features of a humble man are -

  1. SIMPLE THINKING - When he thinks, he thinks simply. Grand ambitions and impractical hopes do not cloud his thinking.
  2. SIMPLE SELF-IMAGE - His image of his own self is simple. He is mindful of his weaknesses and does not claim a position of superiority which he does not hold.
  3. SIMPLE TALKING - He talks with simplicity. High words of self-praise and boasting are absent. He talks to the point without any superfluity in his speech.
  4. TOLERANCE - A humble man is tolerant of all those around him. He realises that every man has a right to his belief, both in thought and practice.
  5. RESPECTFULNESS - A humble man does not carry the baggage of ego and false pride and hence does not suffer from unmindful and hurtful arrogance. He is courteous and respectful to all.
  6. REPENTFUL - A humble man realises that his human weaknesses make him susceptible to mistakes often. Due to his being grounded to reality, his humility makes it easy for him to seek repentance often for his sins and mistakes.
  7. FAITH - Through humility comes faith and the destruction of doubt. Faith in a higher power to whom he bows and accepts its superiority.
These are the 7 main distinguishing features of a humble man. Adopt them. Nothing looks as spectacular, simple, and supreme as the cloak of humility. Nothing shines more than humility. Humility is not a put on act of extra-modesty, but rather a natural expression of man's humaneness. You are human. So, feel human, act human, and be human. Humility is the best dress.

Farmer's Daughter - Lateral Thinking

Many years ago in a small Indian village, a farmer had the misfortune of owing a large sum of money to a village moneylender. The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain. He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his daughter.
