Female Wavelength!

Image
Late one night, a man and wife were sitting in the living room, talking about life, death, health and sickness and other such deep philosophical things. He said to her, "Darling, I never want to live in a vegetative state, totally dependent on machines and liquids from a bottle. If you ever see me in that state, promise me that you will disconnect all the contraptions that are keeping me alive. I'd much rather die." His wife got up from the sofa with this real look of admiration on her face... and proceeded to disconnect the TV, the dish antenna, the DVD player, the computer, the internet, the cellphone, the i Pod, and the X Box. She then went to the bar and threw away all his whiskey, rum, gin, vodka and the beer in the fridge. The man almost died on the spot! Women who know their place.

Image
Barbara Walters did a story on gender role bias in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before our involvement in the Afghan conflict. She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands. She recently returned to Kabul, and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem to, and are happy to, maintain the old custom. Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, "Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?"  The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, "Land Mines." No matter what language you speak or where you go, Moral of this story is BEHIND EVERY MAN, THERE'S A REALLY SMART WOMAN Courtesy : Mail Fwd by Mr. Asim Khan

I Just Called To Say...

Image
Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have the power to create conditions in your life. What you speak about, you can bring about. If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job. If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick. If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating. If you keep saying you're always broke, guess what? You'll always be broke. If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life to hurt and betray you. If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed. If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, our very thoughts will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs. Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love and action. Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want ...

Judging Others based on Self ...

Image
One of the most usual mistakes based on the ego is to assume that others will come to the same conclusions if they just share your experiences, or that they will agree with you just because you have very good arguments that you find hard to dismiss. When I had one set of beliefs I didn’t understand those who didn’t agree with me and now that I changed my beliefs to almost the opposite I can’t understand the set of beliefs I used to follow. I guess it takes a lot of experience and sometimes drastic ones to make you start thinking in a new way and from there you have to start learning things from a whole different perspective. Its like in the army, I remember when I did my own military service that the first two weeks of basic training was about to brake down our old patterns of behaviour and way of thinking to make way for the new ones. A Priest dies and is awaiting his turn in line at the Heaven's Gates. Ahead of him is aguy, fashionably dressed, in dark sun glasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket & jeans. God asks him: Please tell me who you are, so that I may know whether to admit you into the kingdom of Heaven or not. The Guy replies: I am Malayalee , KSRTC driver from Kerala!!! God consults his ledger...........smiles and says to the Mallu: Please take this silken robe & gold scarf and enter the Kingdom of Heaven... Now it is the Priest's turn. He stands erect and speaks out in a booming voice:I am Pope's Assistant so & so, Head Priest of the so & so Church for the last 40 years. God consults his ledger & says to the Priest: Please take this Cotton Robe & enter the Kingdom of Heaven... 'Just a minute' says the agonized Priest. 'How is it that a foul mouthed, rash Driver is given a Silken robe & a Golden scarfand me, a Priest, who's spent his whole life preachi...
